Epic Sound Effects Launches New Audio Library
Florida-based Epic Sounds Effects has launched their new subscription based service for finding sounds for videos. Music producer Clement Ducasse has teamed up with composer Karel Psote to create a service for independent filmmakers who want high quality sound but within reasonable budgets.
Interestingly enough, the new Epic Sound Effects service isn’t just compiling common sound libraries that already exist elsewhere. The founders are audio composers themselves, who have worked with film production studios like Disney, Warner Bros, Netflix, Marvel, 20th Century Fox, Lucasfilm, and Paramount. And they’re now looking to provide the same level of sound effects production they’re accustomed to with Hollywood films, but for indie filmmakers.
We’re not exactly sure how they’re going to do that. And it’s clear the company is still early in testing its subcription model, and figuring out how to monetize the service. But for those who are willing to give it a try, the company is offering early subscribers free access to the platform indefinitely.
It’s free to subscribe and get over 100 sounds. They also plan to offer new free sounds each month.
