Panasonic Announces New Mirrorless Camera, Upgraded Leica Lenses
Panasonic today announced their new mirrorless camera, the Lumix DC-G9, and the upgraded Leica lenses.The Lumix DC-G9 is an update to the GX9, which was unveiled in 2017. It features a 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor, and new Venus Engine image processor.
The camera is capable of shooting up to 9 frames per second in sudden burst mode.It also has a high-resolution 4K and 6K video recording capability. The camera also supports dual image stabilization for improved stability when taking photos or recording video.
The camera is also compatible with two new Leica lenses.The first is a wide-angle zoom lens, the Leica Lux 8-18mm F2.8-4.0 ASPH. This lens has a large maximum aperture of F2.8 at 8mm, and a minimum aperture of F4.0 at 18mm.
The second lens is the medium telephoto macro lens, the Leica DG Vario Elmarit 30mm F2.8 Macro.This lens has a maximum aperture of f2.8 and a minimum aperture of f22. It is also dust and splash resistant, making it suitable for outdoor shooting.
The Lumix DC-G9 is available for pre-order now, and will be officially released on June 15th. The two Leica lenses are also available now.
