Leica Enters Home Entertainment with Cine 1 Laser TV Projectors
Leica, the iconic German camera maker, is now venturing into home entertainment. The company has announced their new range of Cine 1 laser TV projectors at this year’s Photokina imaging show in Cologne, Germany. The Cine 1 range aims to provide users with high-quality cinematic experiences in the comfort of their own homes.
The flagship Cine 1 projector is Leica’s most powerful and advanced model to date. It boasts a native resolution of 4K Ultra HD and a contrast ratio of 2,500:1. It is capable of projecting a display size of up to 280 inches diagonally from a distance of up to 6.5 meters. The projector also features an advanced auto focus system, which automatically adjusts the focus based on the room’s ambient light.
The Cine 1 range is designed to deliver a true cinematic experience. It is powered by the laser module, which utilizes cutting edge HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging for an improved colour palette. The projector also uses Leica’s XPT technology, which extracts and amplifies subtle details from the source material. Furthermore, the projector is capable of upscaling most standard video content to 4K, automatically adjusts the aspect ratio and frame rate, and supports the latest HDMI HDR standards.
The Cine 1 range is a great addition to Leica’s home entertainment portfolio. With the launch of these projectors, Leica is now able to offer consumers a full range of home entertainment solutions. The projectors are currently available for pre-order and will start shipping in early 2019.
