Hasselblad XCD 28mm f/4 P Lens Unveiled

Hasselblad has announced the latest addition to their XCD lens range, the XCD 28mm f/4 P. The lens is designed to be used with the Hasselblad X1D-50c camera, and is a high-performance wide-angle lens that offers a unique field of view and special optical characteristics for shooting landscapes and other creative applications.

Core Specs and Features

The XCD 28mm f/4 P lens offers a maximum aperture of f/4, making it ideal for low light and shallow depth of field shots. It also features a minimum focusing distance of 0.2m, and has a 9-blade diaphragm for smooth and attractive bokeh. The lens uses Hasselblad’s acclaimed central shutter design offering shutter speeds up to 1/2000s and benefits from XCD lens electronic contacts communicating AF information, control of aperture and shutter speed.

Optical Performance

The lens boasts impressive optical performance, providing superior image quality. It provides high resolution details and low distortion across the entire image field, resulting in sharp and clear images. The lens also has high control over chromatic aberration, so images are well-corrected for colour fringing and other aberrations.

Availability

The XCD 28mm f/4 P lens is now available to purchase. It is available in two variants – with the XH lens mount adapter or without the adapter. It is a great option for photographers who need a wide angle and want to get the most out of their Hasselblad X1D-50c camera.
