Blackmagic Design has created yet another tool in their arsenal of products, the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera with 6K resolution and 28-70mm lens. The cinema camera will allow filmmakers, video and photographers to capture stunning visuals with a great combination of resolution, expansive color depth, low noise and superior dynamic range.

The features are endless. The cinema camera has a Super35 size sensor with 6K resolution which is capable of encoding over 12 stops of dynamic range. The camera comes equipped with an EF mount allowing use of almost any lens available and it also has an adjustable LCD touchscreen for enhanced Exposure Control. Additionally, the camera comes with an optional PL mount adapter giving filmmakers the ability to use a wide variety of different lenses.

Now with a “true” cinema lens. The Cinema Camera package is bundled with a 28-70mm f/2.8 lens, giving filmmakers the ability to capture wide, expansive shots in addition to close-up details. This lens is designed specifically for cinema cameras and optimized to produce true cinematic images with improved color accuracy, clarity and lower, noise levels.

Advanced features that make a difference. The camera’s 6K resolution captures incredible detail and a new 6G-SDI output offers a virtually frame by frame output for improved color accuracy and smooth motion. An advanced Blackmagic RAW codec allows film makers to capture images in a very high quality, yet still allowing space for compression. The camera also has multi-rate 12G-SDI, allowing three HD signals over a single cable.
